So, I finally got around to scanning and uploading some more of my pictures from Thailand. The resolution is not that good, and looking at them it’s no secret that they are scanned, but anyway…

(Oh, that’s one more post. Think I can get another one in, before evening? You never know.)

I went on a trip around the island today. Among other things I saw some budist temples, some scenic view point and a waterfall. There were a lot of germans in the group I was with, and it is times like this that I wish I was better at german – so many parts of danish and german are similar, but yet, I can’t understand them. Sometimes I could make up scentences, or the theme of the conversation, but folowing the talks was not possible for me. But some of them were nice enough to speak some english from time to time. All in all they were a friendly lot.

Unfortunatly my digital camera had a memory problem (in that I had forgotten to delete the old pictures), so I only took two pictures with that. I did however take some pictures with my old “analog” camera. So I hope they turn out great when they get printed – but clearly I can’t upload those pictures.

At one of the temples I was blessed (I guess) by a monk – and got a wristband for “good luck for you” as he put it. He said a lot of other things to, but I’m pretty sure they were not in a language that I master. And while he spoke he splashed water on my head. I don’t really feel any more lucky (or unlucky) after, but hey, if nothing else, it is a good story.

I also got to do some hiking (in my sandals!) up to the waterfall, and was rewarded by a nice swim in the water. Very refreshing.

On a more genreal note, there has been some days with bad weather (as I have mentioned?), but it seems to be turning around now. Yesterday was good, today was good, and I’m hoping tomorow brings good weather to. But while it was raining / cloudy I did take some pictures of my suroundings. They have been uploaded as well.

Think that is all from me for now – one week until I go home. How will I spend that time? Maby going for a swim and getting some sun? Yes, that sounds like a good plan!

Not just sun and sandy beaches

Sunshine is not the only thing they have out here. The last 3 days have showed another weather. Rain, wind and clouds has been the order of the day. And two days ago a branch went through the roof of my bungalow (picutre here: http://sbc.lir.dk/gallery/Thailand2005/s3600001_002). It did get fixed quite fast though.

Hopefully it will start clearing up soon – not much to do here when the weather is bad…

Tjah- hva’ ska’ a’ sie’? Her er stadig dejligt varmt! :)

I think Esben might find the lable of this mineral water bottle funny. (You might have to zoom in a bit.)

Else nothing really interesting / new is going on down here. (There is a limit to how many blog entrys you can make of “got up, ate, went to the beach, read math, went for a swim, read more, ate and went to sleep”.) But I am still enjoying it! :)

I might end up using more money at the tailor than I am going to use on everything else put together. But that might be related to the fairly cheep prices on food here. A warm meal for lunch, with a soda or drink (including a tip) can be had for roughly 15 – 20 danish crowns. Also the local salespeople on the beach seem to thinks I look like I need to relax more than I already am – they keep wanting to sell me canabis. I have told them all no so far, but the next time maby Ill ask what the price is, just to check.

The weather here is still great, the water hot and my math book as exciting as ever.

I went to see a tailor today (after getting some quick fashion advice from back home – thanks Mark), so it would seem that I will be leaving Samui with 2 new suites.
On the way home along the beach I saw a elephant – the pictures are not great, but they are over here somewhere: .
Else, I don’t think I have anything interesting to tell – still alive, doing well and enjoying life.

Tjah – her er varmt!

Kig evt. billeder her:

Under 2 uger.

Doing somthing, could do more.

It’s now much to late, and I should be sleeping by now. But no, I’m just wasting time surfign the net. So I might as well blog a bit.

I have done no reading (serious math reading that is) today. That’s bad.
I have written a letter to a girl. That’s good.
I have already messed up a bad attempt at doing a old Simpsons joke over – That’s bad.
I have written a list of things I still have to do before I go to Thailand… Can I go to sleep now?
