– Politiken.dk

This can’t be good. And by good, I mean for me personally. For the sake of my own mental health I should properly start turning more to the political right? Or just stop caring about other people? Yes, that’s it!

On a side note I have just booked tickets for Tokyo, Japan. Looking forward to that very much!

Nuclear Bombs Mistakenly Flown Over US

Nuclear Bombs Mistakenly Flown Over US – Forbes.com

Well, shit happens. I do the same thing sometimes with my remote control. I will go to the kitchen for a snack or some juice and for some reason I bring along the tv remote control and place it in the kitchen. When I go back to the living room and want to switch the channel I can’t figure out where the remote is. So I don’t think anyone should give these guys to much heat over this. Could have happened to anyone.
Except maby that my tv remote isn’t really a nuclear device capable of turning half a city to dust and rubble. Not that I know of, anyway.

Also, if you’r a bit more paranoid, this can be seen as a very bluntly delivered message to Iran. Turns out that the destination of the nukes, Barksdale, is a staging base for Middle East operations.
Fun stuff!

Anyway, I’m off to uni for the first time in weeks.

The best things in life are free

David Rovics is a folk singer/songwriter with some interesting songs about big and small political topics – and a few love songs.

You can get all his songs for a price at iTunes or you can download them for free at the internet – and legally I might add. David has released most (all?) of his music under a Creative Commons license, so anyone is free to share the music, as long as it is not used for commercial purposes.

A lot of his music can be found here at soundclick.

A few of my favorites include these humorous tunes with a funny approach to different themes – big and small.

Parking Lots and Strip Malls
Cannabis Cafe
The Alligator Song
Sit Down to Piss
Polyamory Song
The Flag Desecration Rag
Evening News

Anti war songs (mostly about Iraq some more general)

Who Would Jesus Bomb?
after we torture our prisoners
Occupation
Operation Iraqi Liberation

And finally this non-political romantic song

Læs artiklen i stedet. Læs den nu!

Ombudsmanden siger…

BBC NEWS | Middle East | US Iraq troops condone torture

BBC NEWS | Middle East | US Iraq troops condone torture

Der står bl.a.

About 10% of those surveyed said they had actually mistreated Iraqi civilians by hitting or kicking them, or had damaged their property when it was not necessary to do so.

Selve demonstrationen blev bl.a. dækket af Politiken her.

Is this a police state?

During the last days of rioting here in Copenhagen the danish police has “searched” quite a lot of adresses around the city. It seems they have primarily been looking for people who have participated in the protests against the clearing of Ungdomshuset. The problem is that the police seem to have “forgotten” to bring search warrants.

I understand that the last couple of days have not been ‘buisness as usual’ for the police here in the Danish capitol, but has it really come so far that legal political organisations can have their memberlists searched by police without a warrent?

Sturday the third of March the police searched Folkets Hus (press releas from Folkets Hus, in danish) and Rød Ungdom‘s office (news article from politiken.dk, also in danish).

So, that’s what censorship looks like…

Danish ISP Tele2 has been forced to censor Russian based website allofmp3.com. I haven’t used allofmp3.com’s service, and don’t plan to in the future, but that doesn’t mean that this isn’t interesting and disturbing to me. If IFPI can get the courts to turn off allofmp3.com today, who will get what website turned off tomorrow? Your guess is as good as mine.

Here is a screen shot of what my browser returns when I try to visit http://www.allofmp3.com/:

Screenshot-2

However, the censorship is not impossible to get around, if you have a little technical skill…

If you were to add the following few lines to your hosts file you should be well on your way to getting around the blocking (for now).

87.242.93.250 allofmp3.com
87.242.93.250 www.allofmp3.com
87.242.93.250 music.allofmp3.com

In a completely unrelated topic, I finished my algebra exam today. It didn’t go as well as I had hoped, but I should be sure of passing (and isn’t that the important part?). It was a written exam, so my final grade is not known yet. Time will tell.

Now I’m (almost) off to get some Julebryg of some sort, and then I have a packed (but interesting) weekend ahead of me. Take care out there (who ever might be listening out there…).
